All members of a family in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, are memorizers of the entire Quran.
Wael al-Hams, one of the boys, says his mother, herself a memorizer, encouraged all members of the family of 16 to learn the Quran by heart.
“I started memorizing the Quran when I was in first grade and learned the entire Holy Book by heart in four years.”
He says everyone in the family has helped the others in learning Quran recitation and memorization.
The Hams family live in Hayy al-Jenina region in Rafah, Gaza Strip. They are known as the “Quran Family”.
Wael says learning the Quran has greatly influenced their lives and help them improve their behavior and conduct.
