Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed Imam Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei has presented a comprehensive roadmap for building an “ever-stronger Iran,” urging the country’s elite to push beyond existing scientific frontiers.
In a message issued Monday to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatimah Zahra, the Leader addressed Iran’s scientific and sports medalists.
According to Press TV, Ayatollah Khamenei congratulated the Iranian people on their recent achievements in various scientific Olympiads, including astronomy, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, artificial intelligence and the humanities, as well as their successes in international sporting events.
Over many years and decades, I have witnessed, both closely and from afar, the strong motivation and determination among the country’s elites to bring about change.
The Leader praised the athletes for demonstrating Iran’s vitality and strength on the global stage, while emphasizing the role of female competitors in showcasing the country’s traditional women’s attire.
A driver of national strength
The Leader said true elites are not simply individuals with exceptional talent or intelligence who see themselves as superior to others and focus solely on their short-term personal interests.
An elite is defined as a person committed to developing their abilities, contributing effectively to society and using their talents to promote both personal and social progress.
Ayatollah Khamenei said Iranian elites had shown that knowledge and talent could be applied to address real-world challenges facing the people and the country.
From stem cell research, nanotechnology and biotechnology to advanced aerospace applications and innovations in industry, mining, medicine, agriculture, nuclear energy and infrastructure, they have consistently worked to translate their knowledge, scientific expertise and capabilities into practical solutions.
“We are all witnessing the progressive movement’s tangible effects in our daily lives.”
The Leader highlighted Iran’s achievements in generating electricity through domestic turbines, developing knowledge-based desalination plants and agricultural drones, advancing technologies at the Royan Institute, producing radiopharmaceuticals, launching remote-sensing satellites, and making breakthroughs in the defense and military sectors.
Condemning alleged “neo-colonial” plots
“Iran’s scientific and technological capabilities are vital to strengthening the country and represent a key factor in shaping its position in emerging global dynamics and the evolving world order.”
The Leader cited the hostility of Iran’s adversaries, saying their actions demonstrate the critical role of the country’s elites in preserving Iran’s strength.
The enemy accused of assassinating prominent Iranian scientists and members of the influential elite during the Second and Third Imposed Wars, as well as before those conflicts in academic and civilian settings, cannot tolerate Iran’s progress and growing strength.
