New details have emerged about the assassination of head of the political bureau of the Hamas resistance movement, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran.
The assassination attack took place at around 2 am local time Wednesday.
The Hamas chief, who was in Tehran to attend the new Iranian president’s swearing-in ceremony, was martyred in a special residence in northern Tehran after being hit by an aerial projectile.
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said the attack is under investigation and the results will be announced later.
