The head of Turkey’s Izmir Chamber of Commerce has said Iran and Turkey will double their trade level.
Ekrem Demirtaş who is in Iran’s southern oil and gas ‘boiling pot’ Assaluyeh in Bushehr province heading a delegation of businessmen, told the press that Bushehr had great capacities to absorb foreign investments and said that he was pleased to visit the province.
Demirtaş highlighted the South Pars ‘immense capacities,’ and noted that South Pars, with vast oil and gas platforms and facilities, would be an ideal place for investments.
“I am accompanied by 62 businessmen and investors in this visit and they will discuss the province’s investment capacities with the officials, to double Iran and Turkey’s trade level up to $ 30b,” he added.
He also believed that Turkish businessmen were very interested in investing in Iran. “Bushehr enjoys great technological base of oil and gas, date plantations and agriculture, beautiful coasts and port cities, which could absorb large investments to the province,” Demirtaş said.
He also said a trade fair would exhibit Bushehr’s and other provinces’ products in Turkey in the current year.
