In an operation by Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), at least five members of the terrorist group called the Party for Free Life of Kurdistan (PJAK) were annihilated in Sardasht in northwestern province of West Azarbaijan.
The PJAK terrorists were identified in a precise IRGC’s operation.
The IRGC forces also managed to find a considerable amount of weapons, ammunition and documents belonging to PJAK terrorists during the operation.
According to public relations of Hamzeh Seyed al-Shohada Headquarters affiliated to IRGC, the terrorists were behind perishing of the three Iranian Iran’s Basij (volunteer) forces in Sardasht in April 2016.
Members of the PJAK, an offshoot of the PKK, regularly engage in armed clashes with Iranian security forces along the country’s western borders with Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan region.
