The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) put the volume of the trade exchanges between Iran and Turkey in 2023 at about $5.5 billion.
According to the TURKSTAT’s latest report, the two countries exchanged $5.490 billion worth of trade in 2023, showing a 14% decline compared to the same period last year.
Iran and Turkey’s trade exchanges in 2022 exceeded $6.420 billion.
Turkey exported $3.310 billion worth of non-oil products to Iran from January to December 2023, registering an 8% growth compared to a year earlier.
According to the report, Turkey had exported over $3.70 billion worth of products to Iran from January to December 2022.
Turkey imported over $2.180 billion worth of goods from Iran in 2023, showing a 35% slump compared to a year before.
Accordingly, Turkey had imported over $3.350 billion from Iran in 2022.
The balance of the trade between Iran and Turkey in 2023 stood at $1.130 billion.
