Imminent fail of Marib prompts mass exodus of Islah Party leaders

MARIB, Nov. 05 (YPA) – Senior leaders of the Saudi-backed Islah Party have fled the city of Marib heading toward Sayoun and the Al-Wadeeah border crossing in Hadramout Governorate, as Sanaa forces advance closer to the city center, local informed sources revealed.

According to the sources, widespread looting of weapons and military equipment warehouses took place within the city over the past few hours, following the takeover of the Raghwan district center by Sanaa forces.

Sources added that fleeing officials transported their families and children in large convoys of luxury vehicles, which were heavily observed departing Marib via the Al-Abar highway toward Hadramout.
