TAIZ, Nov. 01 (YPA) – Yemeni forces affiliated with the Sana’a government have seized several strategic heights around the historic al-Maqatirah Citadel in Lahj province, in a significant advance linking the highlands of Taiz with northern Lahj.

Field sources said the newly captured positions overlook key supply routes and areas stretching toward Tur al-Bahah and Lahj, giving the forces a strategic advantage.

The advances came as Saudi-backed armed factions retreated from the area.
