The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially designated the British Secret Intelligence Service as a hostile entity, and classified the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force as terrorist organizations.
The ministry stated the move comes in response to hostile actions by the UK government against Iran over the past year, its participation in aggression against the country, and the designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.
Tehran affirmed that the measures comply with international law, holding the British government accountable for the consequences and noting that the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force are subject to reciprocal legal measures effective immediately.
Ebrahim Azizi, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Commission, emphasized Tehran’s commitment to the Supreme Leader’s directives, warning of an immediate and decisive response to any threats. He added that Iran’s response would not be geographically bound, asserting that Tehran, rather than the defeated parties of the 12-day and 40-day wars, will determine the conflict’s outcome.
