Iranian Seminary Group Vows No Retreat on Nuclear Rights, Backs Leader’s Military Guidance

Date:

The Assembly of Representatives of Seminary Students and Scholars of Qom has declared full support for the Supreme Leader’s “authoritative directives” during his meeting with senior armed forces commanders, warning enemies that the Iranian nation will not retreat “even an inch” from its nuclear rights.

In a statement issued Sunday, the assembly endorsed Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei’s emphasis on “smart combat readiness to confront enemies with maximum force” as a requirement for “maximum deterrence,” and affirmed his order that “any level and type of threat must face an immediate, effective response without geographic limitations” as a fundamental principle for safeguarding national security and territorial integrity.

The statement described the directive as a “decisive response to the excesses of American-Zionist enemies,” who must understand that any aggression will be met with a crushing response “anywhere in the world.”

The assembly called the strengthening of military intelligence architecture, deepening of indigenous defense in both “doctrine” and “tactics,” and development of up-to-date defense and security capabilities using new technologies a “religious and national duty.” It also backed the Commander-in-Chief’s order to update the “target bank” as a sign of the Islamic system’s “intelligence and full authority” against any threat, saying it enjoys the “all-out support of the great Iranian nation.”

The statement described the Supreme Leader’s remarks as a “turning point” in shifting the country’s military strategy from “offense” to “defense” in new domains—not a sign of passivity, but the adoption of a “smart and preemptive posture” to protect Iran’s nuclear and scientific achievements against complex enemy threats. Just as the Leader has stressed the need to act “offensively” in soft warfare, the statement said, in hard defense Iran must rely on advanced indigenous defense capabilities to “neutralize any threat at its source.”

“Enemies must know that the Iranian nation will not retreat even an inch from its nuclear rights,” the assembly said.

Declaring that “national support for the armed forces” is a pillar of deterrence against “Iranophobic foreigners,” the seminary representatives pledged to stand alongside “the warriors of Islam and defenders of the country’s security,” as in the past. “National unity and cohesion is the key to passing through all seditions and enemy conspiracies,” the statement concluded.
