94% of flights canceled at Riyadh Airport: Bloomberg

Date:

A new report published by the US news agency “Bloomberg” highlights the expanding impact of the Yemeni air blockade imposed on Saudi Arabia.

According to the agency, “Yemeni operations have caused a near-total paralysis of air traffic in the Saudi capital,” confirming that “94% of departing flights from Riyadh Airport were canceled between October 10 and October 27.”

Bloomberg noted that “Yemeni operations forced Riyadh Air to shift its operations to an airport 400 kilometers away and run limited flights until further notice.”

The agency stated that “Yemeni operations broke the image of stability that the Saudi aviation sector enjoyed for decades,” pointing out that the international reputation of the Saudi regime has been impacted due to the lack of security and the dissipation of the image it had promoted over past years.
