Yemen’s Movemant al-Houthi condemns Saudi attacks as war crimes

Date:

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, said Saudi crimes against civilians and civilian infrastructure constitute war crimes, condemning the attacks on the Yemeni people.

In a statement, al-Houthi stressed that the massacres would not weaken the Yemeni people, but would instead strengthen their resolve, dignity, and pride, describing them as a people who cannot be broken.

The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) announced on Saturday that they had carried out six military operations against Saudi targets using ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones, in response to escalating Saudi aggression against Yemen and the killing of civilians.

In a statement issued from Sanaa, YAF spokesperson Yahya Saree said the operations came in retaliation for the Saudi attack on Al-Hadara market in al-Wazi’iyah district, Taiz governorate, on Friday morning, which left dozens of civilians martyred and wounded, as well as a subsequent attack on residential homes in Bani Hushaysh district that killed and wounded dozens more, mostly women and children, and destroyed at least six houses.
