According to the Judiciary, the three were found guilty of cooperating with the US and Israeli regimes in operations against Iran’s national security, including making and using Molotov cocktails and homemade grenades, attacking public and government facilities, and destroying an electricity substation to cut power to parts of Karaj.
Their sentences were upheld by the Supreme Court.
The case involved 11 defendants. Investigations found that Divband, the owner of an auto repair shop, had organized and led the group, recruiting relatives and employees and holding coordination meetings before the January 8 and 9 unrest.
Kazemi was found to have manufactured Molotov cocktails and homemade grenades in the basement of his home, while Zanganeh played a key role in sabotaging the electricity substation.
The other eight defendants received prison sentences ranging from five to ten years, and the confiscation of the three executed men’s assets is underway.
